Endless Rare Items - Level 60 Merchant Trick
Description
This strategy can net you millions a day without too much time invested. The idea is simple, there is a merchant at the end of act 1 hiding in the Highlands Passage. The neat thing about this merchant is that in inferno he has 1 rare item for sell.
Instructions
You may be thinking….who cares I get tons of rare drops and most of them aren’t worth anything. You are right but in the current version of the game you can save your spot right across the bridge from this merchant and then you can simply start a game check the item and if it is good buy it and sell it on the auction house, if not then just leave the game and restart it again.
So here are the details of how this works:
Please read the bottom of this page as well as there are important details about the two different merchants that can spawn!
First you will need to start the 9th quest in act 1 and get to “The Cursed Hold” section of the quest:
Use the Waypoint in New Tristram to go to the Halls of Agony level 2. Once there you will need to fight your way through until you find the exit to the Highlands Passage. This may take a few minutes but you will only need to do it once.
Once you enter the Highlands Passage it should look like this:
Fight your way across the bridge until you come to the other side:
Once you are on the other side you will see the merchant standing in the corner and possibly a chest next to the merchant as well:
The merchant will have 1 rare item for sell, it will either be a weapon or a piece of armor and will cost anywhere from 6,000 to 17,000 gold. Check the item’s stats to see if it is any good, if it is then buy it and you can list it on the auction house and make as much as 10 times what you paid for it. If the item isn’t very good just exit the game:
All you need to do now is click resume game and you will start the new game on the right side of the bridge just outside of the exit from the Hall of Agony level 2. All you need to do now is fight your way across the bridge, loot the chest if there, and talk to the merchant again.
One last thing that you need to know is that the merchant will spawn half the time and the other half a different merchant will spawn right next to your starting area and will have a quest for you to do. The quest involves killing a champion pack before you can buy from him so when I get this merchant I just restart a new game. However if you are up for it you can go kill the champion pack and talk to that merchant as well:
That’s about it…Good Luck!
